There are two quite separate ways to visit the Lizard Island Research Station as a volunteer.

1. You can join the Station Volunteer Program and assist with maintenance. This program is organised by the Research Station. The Station does not offer any internships or directly organise any other volunteer programs.

2. You may be able to become a Research Volunteer by finding a researcher who is willing to have you assist with his/her project. The Research Station does not directly organise volunteers to assist visiting researchers. It does maintain a list of researchers who need volunteer assistants and a list of prospective research volunteers.
